Why It Matters: As women remain underrepresented in fields like engineering and computing, removing targeted support could make those pathways harder to enter and afford.

💸 Most Pro Women Athletes Earn Under $50K: Last year, 78% of professional women athletes earned $50,000 or less from their sport, while 93% reported financial stress.
Why It Matters: Elite performance still does not guarantee financial stability, forcing many women to support world-class careers through second jobs, debt or crowdfunding.

🏀 WNBA All-Star Game Outdraws NBA: The WNBA All-Star Game drew a record 19,783 fans, while league attendance is up 16% and 2026 viewership has already reached 73 million people.
Why It Matters: Women’s sports are proving that sustained investment, stronger broadcasts and better player pay can turn long-undervalued talent into major business.

Why It Matters: A major global show is placing women’s sport at the centre of its story—and bringing its audience with it.
